What are custom source bundles?

Custom source bundles allow you to create personalised collections of information sources that matter most to your research. These bundles make it easier to focus your analysis on specific publications or websites that are relevant to your work.

Who can create custom source bundles?

All Enterprise users can create custom source bundles. Once created, organisation-wide bundles are available to everyone across your company in Explore, Research, and Reports.

How to create a custom source bundle

1️⃣ Go to Settings

In your AMPLYFI dashboard, open Settings and select Custom Sources under the Organisation Section.

2️⃣ Create a new Bundle

Click Create Source Group, then give your bundle a name, brief description and choose your bundle visibility*

3️⃣ Add Sources

Add up to 250 custom domains you'd like to include in this bundle. If the domains you search don't return any results, you can request a new source by using the link.

4️⃣ Save your Custom Bundle

Review your selections and click Save Source Group

Managing your custom source bundles

All users in your organisation can view and edit org-wide bundles.

*Project-Scoped Source Bundles

If you want to keep source bundles private to a team or initiative, you can create a project-scoped source bundle.

What Are They?

These are source collections that are only accessible within the specific Project they were created in. Ideal for client-sensitive work, niche focus areas, or experimental research.

Who Can Use Them?

Only Project members will see and be able to use these bundles in Explore, Research, and Reports.

How to create a Project-Scoped Bundle?

When creating a custom bundle, choose 'Project-Scoped' for the Bundle visibility and then assign it to a bundle.

⚠ Important: Once a source bundle is created with organisation-wide (public) visibility, it cannot be converted to project-scoped.

This is because public bundles may already be in use across multiple Projects, Reports, or Explore sessions. Changing the visibility could break those dependencies or restrict access for other users.

If you need a private version, we recommend duplicating the original bundle and setting the visibility to Project Scoped during creation.

Can't find a source?

If you need a specific source that isn't available in our database:

Click "Request New Source"

Enter the domain information

Our team will review your request, add appropriate sources to the database and let you know once it's done

Using your custom source bundle

Once created, your custom source bundle will appear as an option when selecting content sources in all Explore, Research & Reports.
