Report Scheduling allows you to automate recurring reports, saving time and ensuring your team stays consistently informed. Instead of manually recreating reports every week or month, you can now generate and distribute intelligence automatically – directly from AMPLYFI.

What Is Report Scheduling?

Report Scheduling is a feature that lets you configure recurring outputs from any report template. Once set, AMPLYFI will automatically regenerate the report on a set schedule and notify your team when it’s ready.

Use it to:

  • Eliminate manual reporting tasks
  • Maintain consistent intelligence delivery
  • Ensure timely updates for stakeholders
  • Compare time periods with ease

Available Scheduling Options

You can choose from the following cadences:

Frequency Day of Delivery Best For
Weekly Every Monday Competitive/market updates
Monthly First Monday of each Month Strategic reporting, KPI summaries
Quarterly First Monday of each Quarter Board-level insights, trend reviews

🧠 The date range for your sources is dependent on the data range selected in template generation

Requirements

To schedule a report:

  • The report must be created from a report template
  • The report must be saved to a Project
  • The template must be created after July 30, 2025
  • To create a schedule, you must have editor permissions of the project the report is saved too

How to Set Up a Schedule

  1. Generate a report using any valid report template
  2. Use the Project icon (circles) to save it to a Project if not already saved
  3. Click the Schedule button from the report toolbar
  4. Choose your schedule cadence (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)
  5. Confirm and save - your report will now be generated automatically

How to Edit or Turn Off a Schedule

If you're viewing a report that has an active schedule, you can easily manage it using the Schedule Icon.

To edit a report schedule:

  1. Open the report that was generated from a schedule.
  2. Click the Schedule button in the top toolbar.
  3. A popover will appear — select “Edit Schedule.”
  4. This opens a side panel where you can adjust the following:
Field Editable? Notes
Schedule Name ✅ Yes Update the name to help distinguish between schedules
Schedule Cadence ✅ Yes Change frequency (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)
Schedule Capacity ❌ No Each organisation has a set limit for active schedules, which cannot be adjusted here
Project ❌ No The schedule remains tied to the project where it was originally created
Report Template Preview ❌ No The template cannot change
🔒 Editing a schedule does not affect any reports already generated from it.

To Turn Off a report schedule:

  1. Open a report with an active schedule.
  2. Click the Schedule button.
  3. In the popover, click “Turn Off Schedule.”
  4. Confirm to cancel the schedule.

🧠 Turning off a schedule will not delete any previously generated reports.

Where Are Scheduled Reports Stored?

All scheduled reports are automatically saved to the Project where the original report template was created. You can access your scheduled reports in three key areas:

1. Reports Tab (Main Navigation)

Navigate to the Reports tab in the main navigation to see all reports across your organisation. Scheduled reports are clearly marked with a chip that shows:

“Scheduled for {next date}” — helping you track what's due to be generated next.

2. Within a Specific Project

Open the Project that contains the original report template. Scheduled outputs will appear alongside manually generated reports, and can be filtered or searched just like any other project asset.

To view the full history of outputs from a schedule:

  • Open the most recent scheduled report
  • Click “View All Reports” from the toolbar

This lets you access all previously generated versions of that report.

3. Organisation Settings → Report Schedules

You can also manage and view all schedules centrally via Settings > Report Schedules.

This page shows:

  • A list of all active (and inactive) report schedules
  • Cadence (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly)
  • Owner initials and project context
  • The number of reports generated by each schedule
  • Status tags like Active or Inactive

This is especially helpful for workspace admins or team leads who need oversight of all reporting automation across the organisation.

Notifications

Whenever a new report is generated from a schedule:

  • All members of the associated Project will receive an email notification

    The email includes:

    • Report name
    • Generation timestamp
    • Direct link to the report

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I change the cadence after scheduling?

Yes. Navigate to the scheduled report, click the Schedule button, and select a new cadence.

Q: Can I manually trigger a scheduled report early?

No. Scheduled reports will only run according to their configured cadence — there is currently no option to trigger them manually.

Q: Who can manage a schedule?

Only Project Editors have permission to create, edit, or delete report schedules.

Q: Can scheduled reports be shared outside the platform?

Yes. Once a scheduled report is generated, it behaves like any other AMPLYFI report — you can export, comment, or share it based on your workspace permissions.

Q: Can I schedule the same report template more than once?

Yes. Since schedules are not tied to the output itself, you can apply multiple schedules to the same report template if needed.

Tips for Using Report Scheduling Effectively

  • Use Projects to group reports for specific teams or business areas
  • Give scheduled reports clear, consistent names (e.g. “Weekly Product Launch Signals”)
  • Align schedules with stakeholder meetings to ensure timely insights
  • Use Bundles and Views as data sources to ensure consistency across your outputs
